Robins Executive Speaker Series: Spring 2026 Stuart Weitzman

Dean Mickey Quiñones and the Robins School of Business are proud to invite you to the annual Stanley S. Watts Lectureship, part of the Robins Executive Speaker Series.
The Stanley S. Watts Lectureship, established in 1974, honors Stanley S. Watts, B'43, by inviting leaders from business and government to campus to discuss the financial services industry.
Join us for a conversation with Michael West, President of Moody’s Ratings, who leads one of the world’s most influential credit-rating organizations. Drawing on his experience overseeing Moody’s global ratings and research, Michael will discuss how credit ratings shape the flow of capital across governments, companies, and financial markets, and what Moody’s analysts are seeing in today’s complex economic environment. The conversation will explore emerging risks, from rising sovereign debt and geopolitical uncertainty to technological disruption and the growing role of data and analytics in financial decision-making. Michael will also reflect on the skills and judgment required to assess risk in a rapidly changing world and what these trends mean for investors, policymakers, and the next generation of business leaders.
