During this session\, participants will learn about what trust is\, what allows trust to grow or breaks it down\, and what small steps to take to build trust between your colleagues- especially when we are not always together in person. \n\n\n\n\n\nRichard Coughlan has served for more than 20 years on the management faculty of the University of Richmond\, where he teaches courses on negotiations\, ethics and decision-making to audiences ranging from undergraduates to chief executives. He is also a keynote speaker\, facilitator and strategic advisor for corporate and non-profit clients across the mid-Atlantic region.\n\n\n\nRichard arrived at Richmond after completing both an MBA and a Ph.D. in judgment and decision making at the University of Arizona. Prior to graduate school\, he spent nearly five years in the hotel industry\, culminating with a position on the management team at The Pebble Beach Resorts in California.\n\n\n\nCoughlan currently serves on the board of directors at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia and is a past president of Association for Corporate Growth-Richmond.
