Especially in the Richmond Region as women run local eateries and play a critical role in shaping the landscape of RVA's nationally recognized food scene.\n\n\n\nWe are excited to offer this opportunity to hear from these great ladies who will be sharing their journey and their take on today's food scene:\n\n\nKendra Feather\n\nOwner\n\nThe Roosevelt (with Lee Gregory)\, Garnett's Cafe\, Ipanema Cafe and Laura Lee's and most recently Garnett's at The Valentine.\n\nKendra owns five restaurants in Richmond and was named Restaurateur of the Year by Richmond Magazine in 2013 and was featured in The Virginia Table in 2015.\n\n\n\n\n\nKarri Peifer\,\n\nDeputy Web Editor and Restaurant News Columnist\n\nRichmond Times-Dispatch\n\nKarri has been writing about the Richmond restaurant scene since 2005 when she accidently fell into the job. As a failed waitress\, she was ripe for a new opportunity\, and had just enough half-knowledge to be dangerous. She has watched Richmond grow from having a handful of decent restaurants to a scene on the national stage garnering national acclaim. And no\, she will not tell you her favorite restaurant.\n\n\n\n\n\nMichelle Williams\n\nCo-Owner\n\nRichmond Restaurant Group\n\nMichelle has been a staple and an innovator in the local food scene for over two decades\, introducing new concepts and creating some of the the city's iconic eating and drinking establishments. At age 22\, Michelle and her RRG partners opened their first restaurant\, The Hard Shell and went on to launch twelve concepts\, including two Hard Shell locations\, The Hill Cafe\, Pearl Raw Bar\, The Daily Kitchen and Bar and the East Coast Provisions. As a chef\, Michelle strives to balance new ideas and flavors that are exciting while still appealing to the diversity of Richmond and it's surrounding communities.\n\n\n\nCome be a part of the discussion as we delve into how social media and branding have changed over the years\, how the foodie environment has evolved and the impact women entrepreneurs have played in RVA.\n\n\n\nWe'll start off at 4:00 pm with check-in\, connecting and tabletops to visit. The program will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Also\, we'll end with a wine pairing compliments of Delta Downtown Richmond. You'll have the chance to enjoy food and wine from Virginia. So\, come join in as we learn a bit about how to enhance certain foods with certain wines. Hope to see you there!\n\n\n\nIf you're interested in displaying your products/services via a tabletop please reach out to Stephanie directly at 783-9350 for more information.\n\n\n\nThe program agenda will be:\n\n\n 4:00-4:30 pm Check-in / Connecting / Table-tops\n 4:30-5:30 pm the "real" conversation\n 5:30-6:15 pm wine-pairing / more connecting\n\n\nQuestions?
