About our speakers:

Monica Callahan
Monica is Community Engagement Director for Richmond 2015, the non-profit corporation responsible for the organization, management and promotion of the 2015 UCI Road World Cycling Championships. She has more than 12 years experience in public relations, community affairs, event management and communications. She has planned and executed award winning community programs and has served as on-air talent and producer for a community television segment. As Public Relations Manager with Comcast, Monica worked with non-profit, government and community organizations to highlight good corporate citizenry in Metro Richmond. While there, she created Feria de la Oportunidad, a jobs and resource fair targeted to the Hispanic community.

Jane Ferarra
Jane is the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Economic and Community Development for the City of Richmond, which means she is the chief advisor to the Mayor on all things related to city-owned properties. In this role she recommends and implements strategies designed to preserve, enhance and unlock value potential of a diverse array of real estate assets through acquisition, disposition, and adaptive re-use and redevelopment. Jane has negotiated numerous complex real estate transactions to include leases, purchases, dispositions, condemnations and property rights acquisitions.

Kelli Lemon
A self-proclaimed “social entrepreneur,” Kelli is passionate about creating opportunities for people to interact, whether through food, sports, education or the arts. She is the Business Manager at Mama J’s restaurant in Jackson Ward, where she works daily to ensure that Mama J’s is considered to be one of the top restaurants in town. From 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, Kelli (aka “Kels”) hosts the "Saturday Night House Party" on 99.3/105.7 Kiss FM with DJ Drake. You also can hear her during "Sunday School” on iPower 92.1 with the Heavy Hitter DJ Lonnie B.
