Event Description:
The RVA Collab will be hosting a virtual coffee hour! We will be discussing the value of Collaborative Work Study. Our guests includes Thomas Midgette, Director of Industry Partnerships and Workforce Initiatives. Thomas oversees the apprenticeship like program FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) out of Richard Bland College. We will also have Melisa Hayslett, she is the Human Resources Manager at EPT. EPT is an appliance and electrical manufacturing company that hire students from the FAME program! Our goal is to discuss how essential these programs are for our workforce. Our guests will be sharing how their partnership is essential to building our talent pipeline with collaborative work study being the focus.
