HYPE presents our second annual professional development series: "Owning Your Career". Back by popular demand, you’ll have access to three events over the course of three months with the overlaying theme of owning your career in every aspect. These three workshops will take you on a series of discovery that starts with understanding your super power, figuring out how to shout that out, and then maximizing your career.
HYPE members are determined to move up the ladder while making a unique name for themselves during the process. This series will allow experienced, career-minded individuals the chance to hear from great RVA leaders on how to become a master of one’s own career.
For the first event, we will hear from Becky Crump. Becky is a compassionate and courageous instigator of change within organizations that aim to help. She believes companies wield priceless power when words and visuals are used to their fullest potential alongside well-timed and placed outreach; that more organizations need to create remarkable programs that inspire, then explain; and that engaging the community in support of wholesome work will move people into actions that give to the world.
Becky is Well Work’s creator and lead advisor. Well Work is a communications strategy, program design, and community engagement consultancy that brings capacity, perspective, curiosity, kindness and conviction to teams who need it most. Their model makes them affordable -- their hearts and minds make them invaluable.
Becky is also the founder of Mindful Mornings, a free monthly speaker series for do-gooders who want to make the world a better place that has a growing national presence.
A clinical integrative nutritionist, and seeker of her own personal truths and righteous place in this world, Becky is driven by a belief that we never arrive, we only evolve through the interplay between attention and effort. By taking notice, dwelling in perplexity, and inspired action, we can come to dissolve the layers of fog that make our truths difficult to see -- truths that have existed all along, unearthed and unattended to. Why am I here? Where does the world need me? How do I begin to build a bridge to support my journey from who I am to who I need to be? These are critical questions at a critical time.
