Event Description:

Join HYPE at the annual Icons Awards Show as we recognize young professionals who make Richmond a better place to live and companies killing it with YP culture.  This party will bring YPs and executives from all around Richmond together to celebrate the finalists and honor the winners.

This year's event will be hosted by Micah "Bam- Bamm" White and feature keynote speaker: Brittanny Anderson, Executive Chef, Brenner Pass and Top Chef Contestant 

 

Micah "Bam-Bamm" White is the Business Development Manager at The Metropolitan Business League. Prior to his appointment, White operated RVA Has Talent, which showcases local aspiring entertainers. On the side, he has spent over 20 years in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comedian, host and philanthropist. Through his various efforts, White's mission is simple: to use comedy and entertainment to find common ground by bridging racial, religious, socioeconomic and generational gaps.

 

Address & Parking/Lyft:

  •  The Icons is being held at River City Roll
  • River City Roll has a limited number of parking spaces open. It is strongly encouraged that you use a ride share app for the event. 

Timing & Schedule of Events:

  • 6:00 pm | Doors & registration open at River City Roll
  • 7:00-8:00 pm | Program & Awards 
  • 8:00-9:30 pm | Bowling and Fun! 

Ticketing/Seating:

  • You do not need a physical ticket for this event...if you register online we will have your name tag ready for you
  • Corporate tables will all be identified via table signs. If you are sitting at a corporate table you'll have a corresponding number on your name tag that you get at registration. If you are not sitting at a corporate table, no worries! There will be open seating tables that are first come first serve 


Dress Code + Weather:

  •  Dress code is business casual but it's suggested you dress to impress within that category

Food + Drink + Entertainment

  • Heavy appetizers  + desserts will be provided by River City Roll
  • Drink options: in addition to waters and soft drinks, each ticket will include 2 drink tickets! Cash bar is available.
  • Each attendee has access to use of the bowling lanes after the program. Proceed to the front desk after the program to bowl. 
  • Each ticket includes the chance to win a variety of raffle prizes throughout the night. 
COVID-19
  • All attendees must provide proof of vaccination OR a negative Covid test result within 72 hours of the event
  • Further information will be provided closer to the event date
  • Depending on the case numbers closer to the event, event procedures are subject to change

Corporate Table (eight tickets) are also available for purchase. Benefits of purchasing a table are marketing in our programs and slideshow as well as a reserved table in the front.
