Event Description:

"Shifting Your Career Compass" 
 

Get inspired by some extraordinary women making moves and shifting the paradigm in the workplace. We have several women who have written their own blueprint for success and are looking forward to sharing their journey with you on May 24.  Join the conversation and hear more about redesigning your professional compass.
Let's face it, who knows when having to shift gears in the workplace will happen. Come hear some examples of successful journeys from ladies who have "been there, done that". 

 

OUR MODERATOR:

 

                                    Genevieve Roberts, Managing Principal of The Titan Group - Division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. Genevieve is a Managing Director at A.J. Gallagher's Human Resources Consulting and Compensation Practice. Genevieve is based in Richmond, Virginia where she is responsible for managing the branch's organizational development, leadership development and human resources advisory services.

EXPERTISE
Genevieve has over 25 years of diversified experience in Human Resources and consulting. She has performed as a business partner with varied industries including technology, health care, higher education, manufacturing, retail, financial services, non-profit, public sector and professional services. She has specialized experience in Executive Coaching, Leadership Development, Organization Development including Employee Engagement, Succession Planning, Competency Development, and Assessment tools.
ACADEMIC
Genevieve graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Psychobiology and a concentration in French from Wellesley College and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University. She has earned her Associate Coach Certification (ACC) from the International Coaches Federation and is certified HR professional with Society for Human Resources Management and the Human Capital Institute.
COMMUNITY
Genevieve serves on the board of directors of YWCA Richmond, Chamber RVA, and University of Richmond School of Business Q-Camp.



Our Couch Talk Ladies will be:
Tawanda Johnson, Owner of RKL Resources. Tawanda is the President and CEO of this full-services workplace solutions firm that helps companies minimize organizational chaos. Her experience in human resources has included consulting, training, development, employee relations and recruitment. Tawanda has no shortage of experience when it comes to shifting her own compass.



 

Lea Tatum Rowsey, Co-Owner of Leete Tire and Auto. Lea in a young professional working in a very male dominated world. This family owned business has been expanding their presence in the RVA community for several years now and she has played an integral part in their success. Come hear her insights on family business dynamics, facing obstacles and being a millennial entrepreneur. 


Morgan Montgomery, Co-owner of Paisley & Jade
A New England native, Virginia resident, and lover of all things modern, clean-lined and loud, Morgan discovered her passion for unique and vintage finds as she designed and propped shows while working towards her B.A. in Theatre from The College of the Holy Cross. With years of sales and customer service experience behind her, she spent three years in the trenches of the off-premise catering world before co-launching Paisley & Jade, a specialty rental company serving the Mid-Atlantic, in 2012. Morgan’s passion for business and events extends beyond the walls of P&J, and she loves to share her knowledge through the Paisley & Jade specialty rental coaching program and by speaking at conferences such as The Special Event, NACE Experience, and Creative at Heart. Morgan’s personal and professional work has been featured extensively in national and regional publications, including Southern Weddings, Richmond Magazine, Sage Wedding Pros, and The Huffington Post. W

We'll start off at 4:00 pm with check-in and tabletops to visit and the program will start promptly at 4:30 pm.
Also, we'll be ending the program with very light hors d'oeuvres and wine so we certainly hope you'll be able to stay until 6:15 pm as we enjoy more time to connect with each other.
